Question 1

What is BoughtForMe?

Accepted Answer

We're an Oklahoma-based licensed used-car dealer that gets you into dealer-only auctions you can't access on your own. Two ways to use us: tell us the vehicle and we find it, bid on it as the buyer of record, and hand you the car, or bid yourself, live, through our access.

Question 2

How does it work?

Accepted Answer

Four steps.

(1) You fund your account with what you're willing to spend, all-in.
(2) That sets a hard bid ceiling, enforced at the auction itself.
(3) You bid live, or we source and bid for you.
(4) Win, and the car is yours; anything left over your actual cost comes back to you.

Question 3

What does it cost?

Accepted Answer

Flat fees, shown up front before you commit to anything. Bidding yourself: $175 per winning bid, nothing if you don't win. Having us source it: $275 when work starts plus $175 only if we win. The auction's own buyer fee and transport pass through at cost, itemized before you fund.

Question 4

Why do I pay the full amount up front?

Accepted Answer

Auctions require the winning buyer to pay in full the same day, with no do-overs. Funding up front means we can pay the instant a bid wins, and it's what makes the hard ceiling work: you can't bid money that isn't there. Anything unspent is refunded or stays in your balance for the next bid.

Question 5

Is my payment secure?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Funding runs through a trusted, industry-standard payment processor, the same kind that powers major online stores. We never see or store your bank credentials, and client funds are held in a segregated account, separate from our operating money.

Question 6

What if you don't win the car?

Accepted Answer

Bidding yourself: you pay nothing, fees only apply to winning bids. On a sourcing request: your vehicle budget and success fee come back in full; the $275 engagement fee is retained once an operator has started work.

Question 7

What kinds of vehicles can you buy?

Accepted Answer

Used vehicles from dealer auctions that clear our sourcing standard: 10 years or newer, under 100,000 miles, green-light lots that run and drive, and no salvage, rebuilt, or flood titles. We can't broker brand-new cars, that's outside what we do.

Question 8

I'm out of state — can you still buy a car for me in Oklahoma?

Accepted Answer

Yes. We're based in Oklahoma and buy at auctions here, and plenty of our customers are out-of-state buyers who want a vehicle sourced from Oklahoma. Tell us where you are and we'll talk through pickup or transport options when you have a car.

Question 9

I already found a car online. Can you bid on it?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Bid on it yourself through our access, or paste the auction link into a sourcing request and we'll evaluate it against our standard. Sending us links to cars you've found is welcome.

Question 10

Do I need to create an account?

Accepted Answer

Browsing is free and instant. To bid or start a request you'll create an account and verify your identity once, required by law before we can hold funds for you. It takes about two minutes.
